Students at The School of Design, most of whom live in the Student Residence, take their classes in a group of six spacious classrooms located among lush gardens.
The School also has a library, computer lab, and photography studio, as well as a swimming pool and volleyball court.
The 8,000-volume library complements the academic program. It has a specialized art and design collection, with books, magazines, newspapers, catalogs, illustrations, slides, and movies. This large, informative collection is considered one of the most complete in the Dominican Republic. The stacks are open for students to peruse, and the collection circulates.
The air-conditioned, 100-carrel computer lab, which uses the Macintosh platform, provides the technologic tools for today’s world of design.
The Student Residence comprises two handsome buildings with 40 studio apartments, each housing two to four students. Apartments are equipped with furnished living and sleeping areas, a bathroom, a balcony, a kitchen with a refrigerator and stove, and drawing tables and chairs.
Graphic Design is concerned with communication between the written word and the image.
